Location

Main HouseWe are located just east of Saratoga Springs, New York, nestled among the green rolling hills that lie between New York's Hudson River and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Saratoga's historic race course, an icon in the world of Thoroughbred racing, is 20 minutes away.

Dèja View Farm is less than an hours drive from New York's Capital District, Lake George, the Adirondacks, and southern Vermont. The Village of Greenwich, just down the road, offers visitors and residents good restaurants and many interesting shops.

The Property
Guests can enjoy a stroll among the 73 acres of woods and meadows. Walk along the tractor roads through the orchard, tree farm and to the large and small ponds.

The farm is home to many families of white tailed deer, turkeys, pheasants and geese. Blue heron and wood ducks make their home on the three acre, spring fed pond. There are two fenced horse pastures, one with a run-in shelter.

Currently there are four buildings on the farm; a barn, workshop, the Guest House and the Residence, each of them over 100 years old.

History
Dèja View Farm as it is known today, has been both a working farm and a gentleman's farm for over 180 years. It is a small part of the land patent granted to General Donald Campbell by King George III in 1763. Early settlers were not interested in this wilderness until after the Revolutionary War ended.

The construction of the residence was started in 1821 and completed in 1827 by descendants of General Campbell. Extensive modifications were made at the turn of the century. While the construction dates of the large barn and carriage house are not known, they are shown in a drawing of the farm made in 1883.

Research of the farm and it's inhabitants is an ongoing project.
